Why does birth time need correcting? ▾

Solar time, not clock time. In BaZi the hour pillar, and the day pillar near midnight, follow where the Sun actually was. Clock time is set for a whole time zone, so at your birthplace the Sun may cross the meridian earlier or later than clock noon. We use the longitude of your birthplace to correct for that, and can also add the equation of time (from −14 min in February to +16 min in November).

Daylight saving time is taken from your browser’s time zone database for the birth date, so summer-time births are converted to standard time automatically.

Whichever basis you pick, the “Pillars under each time basis” panel shows every combination side by side. If they differ, choose the one closest to the time on your birth certificate.

Everything is calculated in your browser. Your details are never sent to a server; if “Remember” is on they are kept only in this browser’s storage. Privacy policy ·

About love tarot

Love tarot uses spreads designed for relationships. The Couple spread lays out five cards — your feelings, their feelings, what connects you, what stands between you, and where things are heading — and the Breakup and reunion spread looks at a turning point.

How it works

Fate Hall shuffles the full 78-card deck and draws cards upright or reversed for each position. Each card shows its traditional meaning adapted to the position it falls in. You can also enter cards from a physical deck.

Reading it well

Tarot works best as a mirror for your own thoughts. Read the cards in relation to each other, and notice which ones surprise you. The tarot card meanings guide lists all 78 cards.

Common question

Can I draw again if I don’t like the result? You can, but tarot readers usually suggest staying with the first draw for one question and returning to it after some time. A different question — "What can I do to help this relationship?" — often gives a more useful reading than repeating the same one.
